French is the official language of over 150 million people worldwide. Each year 385,000 students of all ages, nationalities and professions call upon the services of the Alliance Française.

The Alliance Française ?

The ALLIANCE FRANCAISE is a non-profit making organisation created in 1883 with the aim of spreading French language and culture. It is a network of 1085 committees established in 138 countries and an educational system of the French language serving around 400,000 students.

An international vocation

Each branch approved by the Alliance Française of Paris is established in the sponsoring country according to local laws. It is autonomous and run by a local committee composed of individuals from the fields of business, the sciences and culture. The Alliance Française is committed to the promotion of French language and culture by various means: teaching of French (spoken, written, professional French, literature...) and organizing artistic events and exchanges with people of different cultural backgrounds.
